In the recently concluded ETC CUP Serchhip District Cricket Challenge, Hmar Veng Cricket Team beat Venglai Cricket team by 14 runs in the final and lift the first ever cricket tournament organised at Serchhip District.

The 7-a side tournament was played at Khawtetlang field. Batting first Hmar Veng team scored 67 runs with a loss of 4 wickets at 6 overs of play. Chasing a target of 68 runs Venglai Cricket Team were bowled out at 5.4 overs scoring 53 runs.
